| Sandra Corbin -
Since
the 80’s British journalist and entrepreneur Sandra Corbin has become a
well-respected media personality, winning her acclaim from her
compatriots in the form of awards from Cosmopolitan Magazine, Shell
Lenta, The Princes Trust and The Society of Website Professionals. Her
entrepreneurial skills led to her being featured in a BBC documentary
called Into Print. After undertaking an internship on the
Black Londoners’ show on BBC Radio London hosted by Alex Pascall and
with Thames Television as a researcher on the Friday Live Programme
with host Danny Baker. She decided to return to University to gain her
degree and post-graduate qualifications in media management, journalism
and media studies she was led towards print. She worked at the Jamaica
Gleaner Newspaper – London desk as a reporter, The Evening Standard as
a layout Editor and freelanced for the Voice Newspaper. Along the way
she managed to even publish her own London wide magazine called
“MainEvent”.

By 2000 she
founded Strategy Consultants a public relations and marketing
consultancy based in Barbados and developed a network of key affiliates
across the globe www.strategyconsultantsgroup.com . She has also
utilized her experience in the business and entrepreneurial world to
assist the community with projects ranging from empowerment programmes
designed to assist women returners to gain employment, environmental
campaigns, trade shows and exhibitions to research projects with
recommendations into how to tackle AIDS awareness. Since 2009 she has
been secretary then member of the Constituency Council for St James
North, who have been appointed to address the needs of people in the
area. Sandra’s work has taken her to exotic islands of St Lucia,
Tobago, St Martain and Guyana.
She, often lectures at careers
fairs talking to students in schools and offers internships to students
from the locale and overseas. Along with regular appearance in the
Barbadian media. Sandra is an active consultant for public and private
sector agencies particularly in the Caribbean and UK. Apart from her
public relations projects Sandra has actively worked as a community
Developer, Facilitator and Assessor for Project Proposal Workshops and
Courses, which are now certified by the Government of Barbados.
2009
to date she has been undertaking research and development, acting as an
agent of change towards how tourism is viewed in the island. Her vision
is to see medical tourism viewed by the International market as
enhanced by what Barbados has to offer and for it to become a
sustainable industry in the region. In addition to Earned Revenue
Management being implemented throughout the hotel sector as a way of
improving the tourism product and generating extra revenue. Although
Sandra was born in the UK she has lived on the beautiful island of
Barbados, West Indies since 1999. | |

 Peter Sargeant is a marketing consultant and has worked in Barbados, the Caribbean and North and South America.
My work experience spans from the Military where he is a trained Health
Services Technician (HST), E.M.T (U.S.D.T) and Environmental Health and
Food Service Sanitation with the U.S.C.G, New London CT and a Dental
Hygienist. He was also trained with the Royal Medical Corp of the UK.
After his tour of duty with the Barbados Defence Force where he gained
a General Service Medal for Duty during the Grenada Conflict and
qualified for an RSS medal, he then used his knowledge in the medical
field to gain his first sales employment as a medical rep for Fisons
Plc and Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals where his achievements were to: .
Successfully asst Dr. Estwick in his campaign victory in 2008,
introduced and established the first liquid Prednisolone formulation to
the Barbados Health Care Service (Feb 1990), lobbied members of ECDS
Tenders Committee for product inclusion on the Regional Drug Formulary.

He also has gained valuable printing, publishing, marketing and
advertising experience within the Caribbean and has travelled
extensively to perform such functions and brings these contacts and
skills to any project. .

Leonie Mather - UK/Europe Affiliate
Worked
as a BBC radio journalist and entertainment reporter before switching
to Public Relations in 2002. Since that time she has worked for some of
the country’s top PR agencies working on major brands, as well as
building up a stable of her own clients including a fashion designer, a
music consultancy, a Barbadian performance poet and a large firm of
solicitors. For the third year running, she is working for Lords
Marketing on the nationwide press and broadcast campaign for National
Pub Football Week – backed by two of the UK’s biggest independent pub
chains and leading drinks brands. |

Peter Whitehall (Associate)
MPA (Harvard University), 1990, BS. (University of the West Indies), is
an experienced banker and economic researcher with advanced training in
economic policy, financial appraisal, cost benefit analysis and
negotiations management. His employment experience includes the
International Monetary Fund where, as Advisor to Executive Director for
Canada on Caribbean affairs, he prepared economic policy papers and
contributed to deliberations of the IMF Board on economic policy,
structural adjustment, Article IV, PRGF, SMP and other IMF programs for
African, Latin American, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Asian, Eastern
European and Pacific countries.

Clifford Gittens

Clifford Gittens is an alumni of the University of Connecticut and a
member of the Association of Cost and Executive Accountants. He is a
highly respected and experienced consultant who's career commenced in
government and spans over 40 years. His resume includes work as an
officer in the Excise Section of the Customs Department, Tax officer
graduating to Assistant Commissioner, Inland Revenue Department,
Director of National Insurance and Special Assignments Officer, Prime
Minister's Office. As a consultant Mr. Gittens has served for the term
as Secretary to the Commission of Inquiry into Trade Confirmers,
Barbados. He has regional experience in establishing National Insurance
Schemes.
